JPMorgan Chase will pay $216 million, $50 million in consumer refunds and the rest in fines and penalties to the government. (Yes, I know. The majority should be paid directly to consumers, not the government!) They had been accused of selling bad credit card debt and illegally robo-signing court documents. They are also required to clean up their debt-collection practices.
