Always lots of managers sitting and watching customers stand in line, never more than 2 employees helping customers. [bad bank]

Oddly enough, I didn’t choose to bank with WellsFargo – they just happened to purchase my mortgage. I’m glad they did though – their internet banking tools to look at my mortgage are great. Only negative experience I had was an uninformed sales agent who convinced me that she could lower my rate on an auto loan, so we went through the entire process only to find that she couldn’t get close to saving me money. She was incredibly nice – it just wasted some of my time. On another occasion recently when I called with questions about my mortgage and the payment of my taxes, the guy I spoke with was probably the best customer service agent I’ve ever interacted with.

Although WELLS FARGO is incredibly convenient, they do not have what is best for the customer in mind. They require their employees to sell you on as many things as they can regardless of whether you need it or not. They also have a ton of fees that most of the time seem unreasonable. Before you open an account with them make sure you completely understand what is required of you; otherwise, you will have never ending fees!

I originally got a Wells Fargo credit card after graduating college because I was trying to establish credit but no one would offer me a card. Finally I went to a branch and they immediately got me set up with a line of credit. About 6 months later a banker from a branch two blocks away called to offer me a savings and checking account with a $100 bonus for spending a certain amount within the first two months of sign up. He was also really nice and went through my financial goals, setting me up with a competitive plan that was been perfect for my needs.
I ended up ditching my old bank (Key) because I didn’t like their mobile app, and I can safely say I’m glad I made the switch. The WF app is usually easy to use for mobile check deposits and transfers, and the only hiccups are occasional and probably due to my phone.
Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get financially independent like me. Plus where I live there are branches everywhere!
Pros:
– Ability to transfer funds and deposit checks via mobile app
– Nice, proactive, helpful bankers
– I almost never get spam emails or snail-mail from them
– They gave me options when no one else would
Cons:
– Website is clunky and hard to navigate even for someone as tech-savvy as I am
– Their logo is lame and the card’s are an ugly color scheme. But who cares about that when the bank is awesome? Haha

I like the app and how easily I can access my account online. The app is nice since I can deposit checks with a picture. Going into a branch is sometimes harrowing though as they might put pressure on you to get services you don’t want.
