I have used HSBC, M&T, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and First Niagara has been my best experience.

If you live in WNY First Niagara is the best bank. A lot of branches and customer service is amazing. You always talk to a person and they are friendly and helpful. I use them for both business and personal banking.

Fairly good number of branches where I live. Also, they make it easy to use any ATM with no/minimal fees. The mobile app is getting better but is slow. Online site is average.
